Management of all local programs must be performed in accordance with specific guidelines established by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). This includes:
Interviewing the applicant
Determining if the applicant needs a formal site plan
Establishing and collecting bond and permit fees
Entering the project information into the permit tracking system
Developing an inspection schedule
Determining whether or not the applicant needs appropriate federal and state permits
Returning the bond upon successful completion of the project
Maintaining a functional archive of past project files
