Founding Member Honored

Members of the Honor Guard gathered to render honors to a pioneer of emergency services in the Grottoes area. S.M. "Mickey" Good is a founding member of the Grottoes Rescue Squad and was scheduled to celebrate his 40th year of service to the rescue squad this Saturday. Mr. Good passed away on Monday April 9 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab where he was recovering from pneumonia complications. The Honor Guard was privileged to stand "Casket Watch" over this dedicated member of the community. His wisdom and humor will be sadly missed by all. Members in attendance were: Captain Russell Barr, Captain James Werner, Captain Issac Diehl, Firefighter Steve Powell, and Firefighter Adam Dove.
