Rockingham-Harrisonburg Court Services Unit

The Rockingham-Harrisonburg Court Services Unit is a multi-jurisdictional project providing Community Corrections and Pretrial Services to the City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. The Community Corrections and Pretrial Services programs were established by the Virginia General Assembly in 1994, under the Comprehensive Community Corrections Act (CCCA) for Local Responsible Offenders and the Pretrial Services Act (PSA). The legislation enabled localities to expand probation services, implement local sentencing alternatives, and enhance sanctions for adult non-violent offenders. The Rockingham-Harrisonburg Court Services Unit was established in 1995.
