The Rockingham County government building is located at 20 East Gay Street in Harrisonburg. Directions are to the main administration building. In the vicinity of the building are signs, which will direct you to the various offices contained in the facility. There is an information desk in the main lobby of the administration building. From Interstate 81: Take the exit for Harrisonburg at the 247-mile maker. You will be going west on East Market Street. Take East Market Street toward the downtown area. This portion will be several miles, you will take a right at the stoplight at Mason Street. Continue on Mason Street, at the second stoplight take a left on Gay Street, the Administration complex is on your right.

From Route 33 West: Take Route 33 east into the City of Harrisonburg. At the stoplight for High Street (Route 42) make a left. You will go several blocks and take a right on Gay Street, there is a stoplight. Take Gay Street for several blocks and the administration center will be on your left.

From Route 33 East: Follow Route 33 (East Market Street) into the City of Harrisonburg. You will take a right at the stoplight at Mason Street. Continue on Mason Street, at the second stoplight take a left on Gay Street, the Administration complex is on your right.

From Route 42 South: Follow Route 42 (South High Street) into the City of Harrisonburg. You will go several miles and take a right on Gay Street, there is a stoplight. Take Gay Street for several blocks and the administration center will be on your left.

From Route 42 North: Follow Route 42 (Virginia Avenue) into the City of Harrisonburg. You will go several miles and take a left on Gay Street, there is a stoplight. Take Gay Street for several blocks and the administration center will be on your left.

From Route 11 South: Follow Route 11(South Main Street) into the City of Harrisonburg. You will go several miles and take a right on Gay Street, there is a stoplight. Take Gay Street for one block and the administration center will be on your left.

From Route 11 North: Follow Route 11(North Main Street) into the City of Harrisonburg. You will go several miles and take a left on Gay Street, there is a stoplight. Take Gay Street for two blocks and the administration center will be on your left.
