Pay By Mail
Make checks and money orders payable to Rockingham County Treasurer and mail to: Rockingham County Treasurer’s Office P.O. Box 471 Harrisonburg, VA 22803 Tax bills, utility payments, landfill payments, dog licenses, vehicle licenses, and state tax payments can be paid by mail. Mail payments early to make sure that the envelope is postmarked on or before the due date.

24 Hour Drop Box
You can pay your taxes and utility payments by dropping them off at our 24-Hour Drop Box located in front of the County Administration Center. Please do not deposit cash in the drop box. Payments are on-time if they are deposited by 5:00 P.M. on the due date.

Pay In Person
You can pay your taxes and utility payments in person at the Treasurer’s Office located in the County Administration Center, 20 East Gay Street, Harrisonburg. Our office hours are 8:15 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Payments can be made by check, money order, or cash.
