The overarching goal of the Tourism Department is to develop and implement a tourism strategy with an economic development component that promotes Rockingham County as a premier travel and tourism destination.

Rockingham County works enthusiastically with local and regional tourism partners, Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, Harrisonburg Tourism, Shenandoah Valley Travel Association, Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation, Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission and Virginia Tourism Corporation.
